Overnight closures of North Road, Tithebarn Street, Carlisle Street and Ormskirk Road.

From Monday 26^th August 2024 to Monday 23^rd September 2024, parts of the following roads will be closed overnight from 20:00 to 06:00 in the morning.

North Road, Tithebarn Street, Carlisle Street and Ormskirk Road.

As such any service that returns to the bus station from Ring Way onto North Road and Carlisle Street, will have to divert.

This will affect services 23, 35, 100 Farringdon, 31, 44 and 46. This will be inbound only.

The diversion will be to continue along Ringway onto Stanley Street, London Road then turn right at the traffic light junction onto Queen Street. At the roundabout turn right onto Manchester Road and continue to the end where you will be at Church Street. Turn right onto Church Street then left up Pole Street to the junction of Lords Walk. Turn left onto Lords Walk and continue to the bus station. 

Outbound routes will be unaffected.

Abbott Brow

Road Closure for safe Demolition works to be carried out

Further to the urgent closure at Mellor, Abbott Brow, a Temporary Traffic Road Order has been submitted to continue the works until Monday, 9^th September 2024 or, until the completion of the works whichever is sooner

Service 25A will proceed from Blackburn to Mellor (Mellor Lane), then will continue along this road up to Mellor Brook (Feilden Arms bus stops) when will turn around to continue the return route to Blackburn Abbott Brow (25A) and Bay Horse bus stops (25A) will not be served

Lord Street Closure

Lord Street Closure

From 08:00am on Monday 19^th August, until 18:00 on Wednesday 21^st August 2024, Lord Street will be closed from the junction of Tithebarn Street to the junction of Lancaster Road.

During this closure services that use Lancaster Road will divert as follows. Exit the bus station as normal but turn right into Old Vicarage then left onto Lancaster Road and continue along Lancaster Road back onto normal route.

Lancaster road will be opened to allow for this diversion.

Leckonby Street closure

Road Closures

for continued utility works to be carried out

Elswick,  Leckonby Street

From 09:30 on Wednesday 17^th July 2024, to 15:30 Leckonby Street will be closed.

Service 78 will proceed from Wesham/St Annes to Elswick then will divert via Lodge Lane, Watery Gate Lane, onto Garstang Road to serve Great Eccleston Square.

Return journey Reverse route.

This closure will again take place from the 24^th of July to the 30^th of July 2024, so we will utilise the same diversion during these times.

Road Closure Hoyle's Lane and Sidgreaves Lane, Woodplumpton

From the 3rd of March until 11th October 2024, Hoyle's Lane and Sidgreaves Lane, Woodplumpton will be closed.

Our services 43 and 44 will have a change to their routes to avoid this closure.
