Road Closure

Between 08:00 and 18:00 (daily) from Wednesday, 27^th May 2026 to Friday, 12^th June 2026; or, until completion of the works within this period

Parbold, The Common, Station Road & Mill Lane will be closed to allow for carriageway resurfacing works to take place

During the closure times, Service 312 will divert from Course Lane in Newburgh onto Cobbs Brow Lane and Parbold will not be served

Bus stops on Mill Lane, The Common, Station Road and Ash Brow (312 only) will not be served

Old Lane, Rainford

From Tuesday, 26th May 2026 for 4 days. Old Lane will be closed from the junction with Higher Lane, to the junction of B5203 Ormskirk Road to facilitate carriageway resurfacing

 The closure is expected to be in place for 4 days.

 The alternative route will be Higher Lane, B5205 Cross Pit Lane, B5203 Ormskirk Road and vice versa.

From Ormskirk as normal to Rainford, Higher Lane, High School

From Rainford, Higher Lane, High School as normal to Rainford, Church Road, at Cross Pit Lane, turn right / 2^nd exit at the Mini Roundabout, then via Cross Pit Lane, to left Higher Lane to right / 2^nd exit at the Mini Roundabout then via Hydes Brow and resume normal route to Ormskirk via Upholland, Skelmersdale, Parbold and Burscough

Omits a section of Church Road and Ormskirk Road and all of Old Lane

Tulketh Brow

Road Closed

Tulketh Brow, Preston

Daily from 0900 hours until 1500 hours on Wednesday 1st July 2026 until Thursday 9th July 2026

Tulketh Brow, Preston from its junction with Tom Benson Way to its junction with Blackpool Road will be closed for surface dressing

We will be diverting via Blackpool Road – Garstang Road – Moor Lane – Fylde Street – Fylde Road – Tulketh Brow. reverse for return

Longsands Lane

Longsands Lane, Fulwood

Between 08:00 and 18:00 (daily) from Friday, 17^th April 2026 

Longsands Lane will be closed to allow Surface Dressing works to be carried out. As these works are weather dependent and work dates may vary, we are unable to provide further work dates at this stage

Signs will be displayed on the road prior to works commencing

During the works, Service 48 will divert onto Andertons Way and turn round at the roundabout to resume route

Return Journey, Return Route  

Bus stops on Longsands Way will not be served Customers can catch the bus at the temporary bus stop at Andertons Way (opp Anderton Arms)
