Bus travel made easy, with a new combined range of tickets from 1st February 2009.
All tickets shown on this page are issued and accepted on both Stagecoach and former Preston Bus services.

1. Pay As You Go
For the occasional traveller

Board our bus and pay the driver. Please remember that services 7, 11, 14, 19A, 23, 31, 35, 44, 87, 88A, 88C, 89
& Football Specials operate a fast fare system to speed up your journey time, so the driver cannot issue you with change.
Please have the correct fare ready. If you need to check what your fare is then please contact us before travelling. We are working on eliminating the fast fare system over the next few months to allow all buses to give change.

Our Adult Single Fares are: 80p, £1.00, £1.20 (£1.50 for some longer Orbit journeys)

All Child Single Fares are: 60p

A special city centre to Penwortham day return fare of £2 will also be available

To purchase a Child pass, a Stagecoach Preston Bus ID pass is required. Prior to purchase of your first ticket the application form must be completed and returned to one of our offices to allow issue of the ID pass. After this tickets can be purchased at any of our offices or agents. A Child easiweek and all adult tickets do not require this pass. Download the application form here.

Staff and students at uclan can purchase uclan weekly, uclan monthly and uclan 3 monthly tickets direct from the university Foster Building shop on production of a valid NUS card or staff pass.

 



4. Penwortham routerider
For regular travellers to and from Penwortham

Offering unlimited travel on services 3 & 3A (Preston - Penwortham)

Also valid on services 2, 2A, 2B and X2 between Preston and Penwortham, Library.

Valid for 7 days from date of purchase
Buy from the driver on service 3 or 3A buses.

5. citigroup dayrider
unlimited Group travel in the Citi zone

A family of up to five people (up to 2 adults and 3 children, but must include at least one adult) can make as many journeys as they like for one day in the Citi zone. All journeys must be made together, in a group

6. English National Concessionary Travel Scheme
(including NoWcards)
Travel for the over 60s

With effect from 5th October 2008 the concessionary travel scheme will
be changed by the local councils responsible for operating the scheme

Holders of a valid ENC pass can travel free of charge on local bus services operating between 0930 and 2300 Monday to Friday and at anytime Saturday, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Journeys prior to 0930 and after 2300 will be charged at the normal adult fare.
Some local authorities issue ‘Companion’ passes to those who accompany the pass holder. These are not valid for travel on bus services in Lancashire and the holder will be asked to pay the appropriate fare.

Blind & Disabled Pass Holders
Those who hold a NoWcard pass issued by Lancashire, Blackburn & Darwen or Blackpool will be entitled to travel with the same benfits as the ENC scheme above. Holders will also travel for a flat fare of 50p prior to 0930 Monday to Friday. Those from outside these areas are not entitled to any discount and will be asked to pay the appropriate fare.

 



7. Park&Ride Services
Special fares and tickets for special services

1 Preston Port Way to City Centre Lune Street
2 Walton-le-Dale Capitol Centre to City Centre Jacson Street

8. Schools & Education Services

Most school and college services are operated on behalf of Lancashire County Council.
On these services special fares apply and Stagecoach Preston Bus tickets such as citirider are not valid.
