1 Fishergate & Corporation Street, Preston City Centre 22nd January - 6th January
Various junction improvements and pedestrianisation measures being carried out in LONG TERM ROADWORKS, due to finish by early 2015. Lane closures and traffic controls in operation. Severe congestion expected at times, along Fishergate and Corporation Street, with knock-on effects being felt on Ringway and further afield.

The next phase begins on Monday 17th March 2014 as the traffic lights at the junction of Fishergate, Corporation Street and Butler Street by the railway station are REMOVED, and there will be no right turn from Fishergate into Corporation Street until August.

Services affected: predominantly Park & Ride service 1, Orbit services 88A/88C/89, plus Longton and Penwortham services 12/12A, 13/13A. Other services crossing the city centre and Ringway (including 23, 31/31A, 44, 35) also affected to a lesser extent, but especially at peak travelling times.

1 NORTH ROAD, RINGWAY JUNCTION UPGRADE 7th July - 31st January
LONG TERM roadworks centred on the Ringway/North Road junction are underway, and expected to last until 31 January 2015.

The works are to upgrade the junction, including carriageway and footway improvements, and upgraded traffic lights. The likely affected area of road and footway is roughly a radius of 70 metres from the junction, along both North Road, Ringway, and Tithebarn Street.

Because this is a main city junction, the works are likely to affect many services, with consequent knock-on effects on other services.

Lane closures and temporary signals are likely to cause delays, especially at peak travelling times.

Apologies for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.
