Services 337 & 347 revise routes from Monday 22nd July

17/07/2019

Following withdrawal of Stagecoach 109A in Chorley, 337 and 347 will revise routes between Chorley town centre and Charnock Richard. Although not possible to fully replace the 109A, Lancashire County Council have specified revisions to the existing tendered bus service network in and around Chorley, maintaining a bus service for Astley Village within existing resources.

The revised routes will commence on Monday 22nd July 2019.

337 Chorley – Charnock Richard – Eccleston – Croston – Ormskirk
New route between Chorley Bus Station and Charnock Richard:
A6 (Shepherds Way, Lyons Lane, Bolton Road), B5252, Lower Burgh Way (to roundabout, then returning along Lower Burgh Way), B5252 Lower Burgh Road, B5251, then Butterworth Brow and normal route to Charnock Richard and Ormskirk.

347 Chorley – Charnock Richard – Eccleston – Croston – Southport
New route between Chorley Bus Station and Charnock Richard:
A6 Clifford Street, Union Street, A581 Thomas’s Road, Southport Road, Ackhurst Road, B5251, then Butterworth Brow and normal route to Charnock Richard and Southport

**Devonshire Road, Carrington Road, Walgarth Drive, Collingwood road, Tootel Street, Weldbank Lane, Eaves green Road, Moor Road and Coppull Road will no longer be served by 337 and 347**

The revisions are to both outbound and inbound journeys, and partially replace a reconfigured Service 357. The 337 & 347 will continue to operate generally every two hours, combining with each other to provide an hourly service between Charnock Richard and Mawdesley, during Monday to Saturday daytime.
