We are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Fitters / Technician.
Rate of pay: £13.25 p.h.

We are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Fitters / Technician
- You will be working on a wide range of vehicles including HGV's, Road Sweepers, Plant and Refuse Collection Vehicles.
- Full clean driving licence essential, plus HGV licence preferred but not essential
Working Monday to Thursday this is a full-time permanent role with contracted hours being 40 per week (between 09:30am and 20:00pm) There will be occasional Saturday working where required. .
Key Responsibilities
- Repairing vehicles in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current legislation.
- Routine vehicle maintenance to DVSA standards.
- Preparation and presentation of vehicles for annual MOT inspection.
- Diagnosis of vehicles using computer based diagnostic equipment.
- Good housekeeping routines to meet H&S requirements.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed to a high standard.
- Utilise all Personal Protective Equipment as necessary.
Essential Qualities
- Ideally you will be apprenticeship served, Level 3 qualified in Heavy vehicle Repair and Maintenance or City and Guilds equivalent.
- Will consider candidates who have recently completed apprenticeship or in year 3 of apprenticeship.
- Ideally the candidate will have experience of working on local authority vehicles.
- Must be able to work as part of a Team.
- Ability to use own initiative.
